Five injured in mass stabbing amid fight in Chicago Lawn

Five people were injured following a violent altercation between two groups just after midnight Saturday in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side. The conflict escalated when a 29-year-old woman allegedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed multiple individuals, while a 47-year-old woman punched several others. Victims included a 47-year-old man stabbed in the eye, who remains in critical condition, as well as other men who suffered injuries to the face, hand, head, and back. Two women were taken into custody, and one of them received treatment for eye irritation after being sprayed with a substance during the incident. Several victims refused medical treatment for their injuries. Police say charges are pending as the investigation continues.
