North Dakota to Vote on Measure 5 for Marijuana

This follows a successful petition drive where the Secretary of State's office verified 18,964 valid signatures, surpassing the required 15,582. The measure aims to legalize cannabis production, processing, sale, and personal use for individuals aged 21 and older, while establishing a state-regulated framework. Supporters argue it will diversify the economy and alleviate burdens on law enforcement, whereas opponents cite concerns about addiction, illegal activities, and impacts on youth.
