Russian Drone Attacks Kill 3, Injure Dozens Across Ukraine

Russian forces launched multiple drone and missile attacks across eastern and southern Ukraine, killing at least three people and injuring dozens more despite international calls for a ceasefire. Overnight on June 14, Russia deployed around 58 to 63 strike drones and decoys targeting regions including Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk, with Ukrainian air defenses destroying or jamming a significant number of these drones. The attacks caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, a humanitarian aid warehouse in Zaporizhzhia that stored over 100 metric tons of supplies, and other facilities such as schools and kindergartens in Kharkiv. Ukrainian officials reported several casualties and injuries in Donetsk, Kherson, and Kharkiv oblasts, with emergency services responding to fires and destruction caused by the bombardments. The Russian military has also claimed to have downed dozens of Ukrainian drones in retaliatory strikes near the border region. This escalation follows recent record drone bombardments by Russia along a more than 600-mile front line, signaling intensified conflict despite ongoing diplomatic discussions.
