New Rochelle Man Faces Additional Child Sex Abuse Charges Following Teen's Death

Hugo Horacio Perez-Gabriel, a 32-year-old resident of New Rochelle, has been charged with multiple child sex abuse felonies related to the death of 15-year-old Jonson Temaj. Following the discovery of Temaj's body on February 6, Perez-Gabriel was initially arrested for concealment of a human corpse. New charges now allege that he used WhatsApp to solicit sexual material from Temaj, who reportedly sent him explicit videos shortly before his death. The Westchester County District Attorney, Susan Cacace, described the allegations as 'extremely disturbing' and emphasized the commitment to uncovering the circumstances surrounding Temaj's death, which remains under investigation. A 16-year-old accomplice has also been charged in connection with the incident. The case highlights serious concerns about child safety and the need for justice for the victim's family.
