Local Organizations Host Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways

In a series of Thanksgiving food distribution events, various organizations are helping families in need this holiday season. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, Brotherhood Crusade, and Mookie Betts’ 50/50 Foundation distributed 1,500 meal packages, including turkeys and gift cards, to families in South L.A., highlighting the community's need for food security. MANNA FoodBank in North Carolina also provided 1,500 turkeys with complete meal packages at the WNC Farmers Market, emphasizing their commitment to local families. In Worcester, a turkey giveaway organized by the city and Stop & Shop distributed 2,500 turkeys, targeting families affected by the closure of local grocery stores. Additionally, McDonald's Operators of Chicagoland distributed over 7,300 turkeys through their 'Food for the Body & Spirit' initiative, aimed at supporting families across the region.
