Derby County Sign Weimann, Batth, O'Donnell on One-Year Deals
Derby County have bolstered their squad by re-signing forward Andreas Weimann and agreeing one-year contracts with centre-back Danny Batth and goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell. Weimann, an Austria international, returns to Derby where he previously played from 2015 to 2018, scoring nine goals in 88 appearances. Batth, who has extensive experience with clubs including Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City, Sunderland, and Norwich City, joins Derby after leaving Blackburn Rovers, reuniting with manager John Eustace, under whom both played at Blackburn. Batth expressed enthusiasm about joining Derby, highlighting the club's ambition and his desire to contribute to their progress. O'Donnell, who has played over 400 senior games across 14 clubs, will provide backup for Derby's goalkeepers. These signings, alongside striker Carlton Morris, mark Derby's ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad for the new season under Eustace's leadership.
