Early Sunday morning in Holland, Michigan, two individuals were killed when their car crashed into a tree during a police chase that was initiated following reports of a fight at a Speedway gas station. An officer on foot witnessed a silver car leaving the scene with its headlights off, and shortly thereafter, gunshots were heard from inside the vehicle. The officer pursued the car as it sped away but lost control on a curve, ultimately colliding with a tree west of the city limits. Both the driver and passenger were found dead at the scene, and no injuries from the gunfire were reported. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, with the Holland Department of Public Safety also involved, and the identities of the deceased have not yet been released. Authorities are seeking information from the public to assist in the ongoing investigation.
