Lil Durk Charged in Murder-for-Hire Conspiracy

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk, real name Durk Devontay Banks, has been arrested in Florida on federal charges of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire. Authorities allege that he orchestrated a plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo as retaliation for the 2020 murder of King Von, a close associate of Durk and member of his hip-hop collective, Only The Family (OTF). Five other OTF affiliates have been indicted in connection with the plot, which resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, during a failed shooting attempt in Los Angeles in August 2022. Durk's arrest was executed by U.S. Marshals, and he is currently held without bond in Broward County Jail. The charges against him could potentially lead to the death penalty if convicted.
