Ukrainian PM Meets Swiss President to Discuss Peace, Reconstruction Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing India's consistent call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and reaffirming support for efforts to restore peace. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko engaged with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter and other Swiss officials to discuss Ukraine's peace process, economic cooperation, and reconstruction efforts, highlighting Switzerland's significant financial commitment of CHF 5 billion through 2036. During their talks in Bern, Switzerland announced 12 reconstruction projects involving Swiss companies in infrastructure, public transport, health, and humanitarian mine clearing, supported by about CHF 100 million in government funding. Both leaders underscored Switzerland's dedication to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine based on international law and the UN Charter. The discussions also included the humanitarian impact of recent attacks in Kyiv and the necessity for increased international pressure on Russia. The meetings reflect ongoing international cooperation to support Ukraine's recovery and peace initiatives amid the conflict.
