Manchester United Completes £71M Signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford
Manchester United has completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in a deal worth £65 million plus potential add-ons, making him Brentford's most expensive sale. The 25-year-old Cameroon international, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season, described the move as a dream come true, having worn a Manchester United shirt as a child. Mbeumo has signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional year and is expected to join the team immediately for their pre-season tour in the United States. His arrival, alongside Matheus Cunha, is a key part of manager Ruben Amorim’s plan to revamp United’s attack after a disappointing 15th-place finish and just 44 goals last season. United’s new ownership under INEOS has shown willingness to invest heavily in targets identified by Amorim to rebuild the squad. Mbeumo expressed excitement about learning from Amorim and playing alongside world-class players while aiming to help Manchester United challenge for major trophies.
