Boston Stadium Renovation for BOS Nation FC

Boston has signed a 10-year lease agreement with Boston Unity Soccer Partners (BUSP) to renovate White Stadium for the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team, BOS Nation FC. This deal, announced by Mayor Michelle Wu, involves a significant public-private partnership with a total cost estimated at $200 million, with BUSP covering over half of the expenses. Renovations will enhance facilities for both the team and Boston Public Schools, and construction is set to begin in January 2025, aiming for completion by December 2026. The agreement includes stipulations on game scheduling and revenue sharing, while also facing opposition from local residents concerned about green space and cost.
