School bus crashes in South Carolina, New York, injuring multiple students

On March 24, a school bus carrying 32 students from Jackson STEM Magnet Middle and Silver Bluff High in Aiken County was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Dragstrip Road. Two high school students sustained minor injuries, while the bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital, the latter reportedly with more serious injuries. School officials quickly arrived on the scene to ensure the safety of the students and inform parents, with counselors available the following day to support the affected students. Another bus was dispatched to safely transport the students home after the incident. The accident blocked Dragstrip Road temporarily as first responders managed the scene. The school district is continuing to follow up on the incident and provide necessary support.
