Cardinals Sign Keynan Middleton to One-Year Contract

The St. Louis Cardinals have reached an agreement with 30-year-old free-agent reliever Keynan Middleton, pending a physical. The contract is for one year, with a club option for 2025, and Middleton is set to earn $6m in 2024. Middleton, who has been with five teams over his seven-year major league career, spent last season between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees, posting a 3.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 50 2/3 innings. He has primarily worked as a reliever, securing 10 career wins and 15 saves.
