Banff Mountain Film Festival Winners Announced

The 47th Denver Film Festival, running from November 1 to 10, features 188 films, including the inspiring story of boxer Claressa Shields and the thrilling The Knife, which explores themes of race and police interactions. Meanwhile, the Banff Mountain Film Festival recently awarded Champions of the Golden Valley, a poignant tale of young Afghan skiers, with both the Grand Prize and Audience Choice Award, highlighting the intersection of sports and community resilience amid political turmoil. The festival’s World Tour will continue to celebrate outdoor storytelling with shows in Duluth on January 10-11, benefiting local ski projects.
