Reba McEntire Stars in Filling Station Film

Reba McEntire is set to star in and co-produce the film adaptation of Fannie Flagg's novel 'The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion,' as announced by Deadline. The film, which will be directed by Oscar winner Callie Khouri, focuses on Sookie Poole, an Alabama woman whose family legacy is challenged when she discovers she may have been adopted. Bekah Brunstetter, known for her work on 'This Is Us,' will write the screenplay. McEntire, a multi-award-winning country singer and actress, expressed her excitement about collaborating with Flagg and the talented team behind the project. The film will be produced under the newly launched faith-based studio Wonder Project, and while currently in development, no release date has been announced.
