Lambourn Wins Irish Derby for O'Brien and Moore

Lambourn, trained by Aidan O'Brien, won the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh, becoming the 20th horse to complete the Epsom-Curragh Derby double. Starting as the 8-13 favourite, Lambourn held off challenges from stablemate Serious Contender and Sir Dinadan to win by three-quarters of a length. The victory marked O'Brien's 17th Irish Derby win, further extending his record, and gave jockey Ryan Moore his third consecutive triumph in the Classic. Lazy Griff finished third for trainer Charlie Johnston. The result highlights the ongoing dominance of Ballydoyle and the O'Brien-Moore partnership in European racing.
