Small Plane Crash in Fullerton Injures Two

A small Mooney M20 plane crash-landed into a tree near Fullerton Airport on Monday afternoon after declaring an emergency due to engine turbulence. The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Gilbert Street and West Artesia Avenue. Two occupants of the plane suffered moderate injuries and were transported to a hospital. Images and videos show the plane lodged upright against a tree, with significant damage to the cockpit area. Emergency services, including the Fullerton Fire Department, responded promptly, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident. Fortunately, no fire ensued post-crash, and no other injuries were reported.
