Fatal New London Crash Claims One Life

A tragic car accident occurred in New London, New Hampshire, early Sunday morning, claiming the life of a passenger and seriously injuring the driver. Vincent Mendillo, 27, from Mission Viejo, California, lost control of a 2024 Hyundai Elantra, which veered off Little Sunapee Road, struck a utility trailer, and caught fire. The passenger, Salma Garcia, 26, also from Mission Viejo, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mendillo was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. The incident, which happened around 12:50 a.m., is under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit. Authorities are seeking information from the public and encourage potential witnesses to contact Detective Sgt. Brian Ross.
