Disney Orders New Comedy Series for 2025

Disney Branded Television has announced the greenlighting of two new music-driven comedy series, 'Vampirina' and 'How We Became the Biggest Band in the World', both set to premiere in 2025 on Disney Channel and Disney+. 'Vampirina', inspired by the Disney Jr. animated series and based on books by Anne Marie Pace, follows a tween vampire who navigates life at a performing arts boarding school while keeping her identity a secret, aided by an overzealous ghost. The series stars Kenzi Richardson as Vee, alongside Jiwon Lee, Shaun Dixon, Milo Maharlika, and Faith Hedley. Meanwhile, 'How We Became the Biggest Band in the World' chronicles the journey of three best friends from middle school to global pop stars in the band Electric Bloom, featuring Lumi Pollack, Carmen Sanchez, Ruby Marino, and Nathaniel Buescher. Both shows emphasize themes of friendship, music, and personal growth, with notable talents including Diane Warren contributing to the music. These new series aim to resonate with young audiences through relatable characters and engaging narratives.
