Son of Former Malaysia PM Arrested for Heroin Possession Near Damansara

The son of a former Malaysian national leader was arrested on August 23 near the Damansara toll plaza after police found about 3 grams of heroin in his vehicle during a traffic stop on the Sprint Highway. Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed the arrest, noting that the suspect, in his 20s, was driving in reverse at high speed in a suspicious manner, prompting the police intervention. Police also discovered several items believed to be used for drug consumption in the vehicle. The man was taken to the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division at the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters for further action.
