Somerset County Domestic Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

A domestic-related shooting in Somerset Township, Somerset County, resulted in one man dead and two others hospitalized early Saturday morning. The incident began when a 24-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man went to a residence on Crestview Drive so the woman could retrieve her belongings, leading to an altercation with the woman's 23-year-old ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend allegedly opened fire, injuring both the woman and the man, who were hospitalized in stable and critical conditions respectively. Troopers attempted to get the suspect to leave the home but ultimately found him dead in the basement with apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the suspect's death but have stated there is no threat to public safety. District Attorney Molly Metzgar and Pennsylvania State Police are leading the ongoing investigation.
