Kyle Brinker, a 33-year-old firefighter-paramedic with the Kansas City Fire Department, died after suffering a medical emergency during a training exercise on Tuesday. Brinker, an 11-year veteran who spent most of his career at Station 35 and was recently assigned to the Technical Rescue Division, was transported to North Kansas City Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He is remembered as a dedicated and skilled firefighter who served with compassion and was a mentor to many.
