Spencer Matthews Sets World Record for Marathons

Spencer Matthews, star of Made In Chelsea, has set a Guinness World Record by completing 30 consecutive marathons in the Jordan desert, covering a total of 1,274 kilometers. He undertook this challenging feat to raise funds for the Global Make Some Noise charity, raising over £342,508 in the process. Despite the extreme conditions, including running on sand without proper facilities, Matthews felt surprisingly strong and proud of his accomplishment, especially as a recovering alcoholic. He dedicated his effort to his late brother, Michael, who died while climbing Everest in 1999. Matthews shared his journey on Instagram, expressing disbelief at his achievement and gratitude for the support he received. His experience has been both physically taxing and deeply personal, helping him confront past struggles with addiction.
