Delhi Police Bust Fake Currency Ring Arresting Two Members

Police in India have made several significant busts related to fake currency operations. In one instance, over 580 counterfeit Rs 500 notes valued at Rs 2.91 lakh were seized, leading to the arrest of two individuals who smuggled the fake currency from Nepal to Delhi via Bihar. Additionally, Delhi Police arrested two men with fake currency worth Rs 2.88 lakh and printing machinery, uncovering an inter-state fake currency cartel operating since 2022. The suspects, having met in Tihar jail, distributed the counterfeit notes to local vendors in densely populated areas to avoid detection by formal banking channels. The arrested individuals had prior criminal records, including involvement in previous counterfeit currency cases and other criminal activities. Investigations are ongoing in these cases to dismantle the fake currency networks further.
