Man Fatally Stabbed at City Hall Subway Station

A 38-year-old man was fatally stabbed during Friday morning rush hour at the Brooklyn Bridge–City Hall subway station in Lower Manhattan after a dispute with another rider over stepping on his shoes escalated from a downtown 5 train onto the platform. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest and torso and was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s or 30s dressed in black and wearing headphones, fled and remains at large as police investigate.
