Aston Villa Beats Tottenham 2-1 at Spurs

Aston Villa came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Rodrigo Bentancur gave Spurs an early fifth-minute lead. Morgan Rogers fired a sensational 37th-minute equaliser to end a lengthy goal drought, and Emiliano Buendía curled home the winner 13 minutes from time. Mohammed Kudus had a goal correctly ruled out for offside, and Spurs were disrupted when captain Cristian Romero withdrew injured in the warm-up, with Kevin Danso replacing him in the starting lineup. The victory was Villa’s fifth consecutive win in all competitions and moved Unai Emery’s side into the Premier League's top half.
