Van Crashes Through Leeds Car Park Wall Injuring Three
A van crashed through an interior wall of the NCP multi-storey car park in Leeds city centre on the first floor, leaving the vehicle hanging more than a meter out of the building. The incident occurred around 4:09pm, prompting emergency services including police, fire, and ambulance to respond swiftly. Three occupants of the van and three members of the public who were struck by falling rubble were taken to hospital for precautionary checks, with none of the injuries considered life-threatening. The car park, located on New York Street near Kirkgate Market, has been sealed off while structural engineers and fire service assess the damage. York Street, a busy nearby route, remained closed with diversions in place due to the ongoing investigation and recovery efforts. Authorities urged the public to avoid the area as they continue to investigate the cause of the crash and remove the vehicle safely.
