15-Year-Old Found Dead in d4vd's Tesla

Fifteen-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found Sept. 8, 2025, decomposing in a bag in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to musician David Anthony “d4vd” Burke after the vehicle, which had been parked in the Hollywood Hills for weeks, was ticketed, towed and reported by tow-yard workers and neighbors because of a foul odor. The Los Angeles Police Department says Rivas likely had been dead for several weeks, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has deferred a final cause and manner of death pending toxicology and other testing; some outlets have reported the death certificate listed “homicide.” No arrests have been announced and Burke has not been named a suspect; investigators executed a search warrant at a residence linked to him, seized items for analysis, and are processing the Tesla, including possible digital evidence. Detectives are tracing Rivas’s final movements and probing reports of a relationship between Rivas and Burke, and authorities say it remains unclear whether there is criminal culpability beyond concealment of a body. Burke is reported to be cooperating with investigators and has canceled upcoming performances.
