Illinois Police Issue 800+ Speeding Citations During Statewide Safety Campaign

Several police departments across Illinois conducted the "Speeding Catches Up With You" traffic safety campaign from July 8 to August 1, focusing on reducing highway fatalities and injuries caused by speeding. Departments in Flossmoor, Decatur, Lockport, and Bloomington issued a combined total of hundreds of speeding citations, with Decatur issuing 172 citations, Lockport 246, Bloomington 94, and Flossmoor over 100, alongside other traffic and safety-related citations.
