Stepfather Charged with Murder of Teen in Maryland

Darshan Eric Williams, a 48-year-old man, has been arrested and charged with the second-degree murder of his 15-year-old stepson, Michael Edward Clemons, following a shooting incident in La Plata, Maryland. The confrontation reportedly arose from an argument over household chores that Clemons had not completed. Upon police arrival, they found Williams outside the residence and Clemons unconscious inside, where efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Williams is currently being held at the Charles County Detention Center and is awaiting a hearing. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the tragic incident, which has left the community in shock. Authorities have urged anyone with additional information to come forward.
