American Idol Music Supervisor, Husband Shot Dead Los Angeles Home
Robin Kaye, the longtime music supervisor for American Idol since 2009, and her husband Thomas DeLuca, a songwriter, were found murdered in their Encino home in a double homicide involving gunshot wounds. Police arrested Raymond Boodarian, who allegedly burgled the couple's home and killed them upon their return, with no signs of forced entry at the property. Kaye was highly respected in the entertainment industry, credited with clearing thousands of songs for American Idol performances and instrumental in securing unique music rights, such as Led Zeppelin allowing a cover on the show. The couple's deaths have shocked the music and television communities, with many remembering Kaye for her kindness and professionalism. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident. American Idol and industry colleagues have expressed deep sympathy and called Kaye a cornerstone of the show's success.
