Inaugural Vitality T20 Women's County Cup Draw

The inaugural Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup will feature 37 teams from various tiers of women's domestic cricket, with the first match scheduled for May 5, 2025, between Middlesex and Kent at Radlett Cricket Club. The competition is designed to provide opportunities for Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams to compete against professional Tier 1 sides, ensuring at least two lower-tier teams reach the quarter-finals. Matches will take place throughout May, culminating in a Finals Day on May 26 at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. However, the scheduling coincides with England's T20I series against the West Indies, raising concerns about the availability of key players for the finals. The event is part of the ECB's 'Project Darwin,' aiming to restructure women's domestic cricket in England and Wales.
