Dembélé Wins 2025 Ballon d'Or; PSG Dominates Awards
Ousmane Dembélé won the 2025 Men’s Ballon d’Or after a standout season for Paris Saint‑Germain, scoring 35 goals as PSG captured their first UEFA Champions League and domestic titles. He was presented the trophy by Ronaldinho and gave an emotional speech thanking family, teammates and staff. Aitana Bonmatí won the Ballon d’Or Féminin for a third consecutive year, while Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal won the Kopa Trophy as the world’s best young player. PSG was named Men’s Club of the Year and coach Luis Enrique won the Johan Cruyff Trophy, underscoring the club’s dominant season. Other awards included Gianluigi Donnarumma’s men’s Yashin Trophy, Hannah Hampton’s inaugural women’s Yashin award, Viktor Gyökeres winning the top‑scorer prize, and Arsenal being named Women’s Club of the Year.
