Joseph Corcoran Executed for 1997 Murders

Joseph Corcoran was executed on December 18, 2024, at the Indiana State Prison, making it the state's first execution in 15 years, following a hiatus due to drug sourcing issues for lethal injections. Convicted of the 1997 murders of his brother and three others, Corcoran's execution was carried out after multiple legal attempts to halt it were denied, including a last-minute appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. He was pronounced dead at 12:44 a.m. CST, and his final words were a curt, 'Not really. Let's get this over with.'
