Two Rescued After Boat Fire Extinguished Off Hollywood Beach, Florida
A 35-foot boat caught fire off Hollywood Beach near Dania Beach on Monday afternoon, prompting a multi-agency response from Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue, Hollywood Fire Rescue, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The vessel was fully engulfed in flames, producing thick black smoke visible for miles. Two people onboard were rescued safely; one was picked up by a good Samaritan and the other by the U.S. Coast Guard, with both taken to the Coast Guard station in Dania Beach and reported uninjured. Firefighters used water hoses from their vessels to fight the fire, which was eventually extinguished. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, but no injuries have been reported. The incident drew significant attention from nearby boaters and emergency crews working together to control the blaze.
