Robinhood Unveils Social Trading, AI Tools, Futures at HOOD Summit

At its 2025 Hood Summit in Las Vegas, Robinhood Markets unveiled a suite of new features aimed at both active and casual traders, including the launch of Robinhood Social, an in-app social trading platform where users can post verified trades, follow experts, and engage with real-time market activity. The platform will initially open to about 10,000 users in early 2026 and is designed to combat misinformation by requiring trade proof for posts, fostering transparency and community engagement. Robinhood also introduced advanced trading tools such as the ability to short sell equities for the first time, overnight index options, and futures trading on its Legend platform, along with multiple individual brokerage accounts and simulated trading returns. The company is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities, featuring an AI assistant for creating custom stock scans and indicators without coding, with plans to integrate more AI-driven features into the trading experience. CEO Vlad Tenev described Robinhood as evolving into a "financial superapp" that combines social, AI, and advanced trading functionalities to meet the demands of a rapidly growing market. These innovations position Robinhood to compete with social trading communities like Reddit and Stocktwits while appealing to a broad spectrum of investors.
