Matt Turner Loaned to Revolution After Lyon Move

U.S. goalkeeper Matt Turner finalized an €8 million transfer from Nottingham Forest to Lyon, then was immediately loaned to the New England Revolution through June 2026, with an option for the Revolution to buy. Turner, 31, returns to New England as a Designated Player for the rest of 2025 after a challenging period at Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace. The move comes as Lyon, facing financial turmoil and a provisional relegation, seeks to shed high salaries, also loaning Duje Caleta-Car to Real Sociedad.
