Felix van Groeningen Begins Filming Romantic Drama Let Love In in Belgium

Felix van Groeningen has begun filming "Let Love In," a romantic drama set in Belgium, starring Italian actor Luca Marinelli and Belgian multi-hyphenate Charlotte Vandermeersch, who also co-wrote the screenplay with van Groeningen and Anne Paulicevich. The film explores a couple's emotional journey through a crisis triggered by a long-kept affair, ultimately revealing themes of healing and reconnection. This project reunites the creative team behind the acclaimed 2022 film "The Eight Mountains," which won the Cannes Jury Prize, with production by Our Films, Menuetto, Rufus, and backed by arthouse streamer Mubi and The Match Factory for international sales. Financed by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund, Kinepolis Film Distribution, Proximus, VRT, and Belgian tax incentives, the film is a collaboration involving multiple European partners. "Let Love In" is described as an "auto-fiction" partly inspired by van Groeningen and Vandermeersch’s real-life relationship, and it will be showcased as a work in progress at the inaugural Flanders Film Days. The film is set for release in Belgium by Kinepolis and distribution in other key territories by Mubi.
