KKR Acquires Dawsongroup to Propel Fleet Decarbonisation

KKR has officially entered a binding agreement to acquire Dawsongroup, a UK-based asset leasing company, as part of its Global Climate strategy aimed at scaling net-zero solutions. This acquisition will support Dawsongroup's growth and fleet transition toward sustainability, leveraging KKR's expertise in climate-focused investments. Dawsongroup, which has been family-owned for over 90 years, reported a record EBITDA of around £250 million last year and employs over 1,150 staff across 11 countries. Under KKR's ownership, the company plans to accelerate the electrification of its fleet and will introduce an employee ownership program to engage staff in its future success. The partnership aims to enhance Dawsongroup's international presence and maintain its market-leading services while contributing to the decarbonization of vehicle leasing. The transaction is pending regulatory approval, marking a significant development for both firms in their sustainability efforts.
