Atlanta Hawks Sign Johnson, Murray Jr. to Training Camp Deals

The Atlanta Hawks have signed forward Javan Johnson and guard Dwight Murray Jr. to training camp deals, reportedly Exhibit 10 contracts that offer bonuses for staying with their G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. Johnson, a 6-foot-6 wing with G League and international experience, averaged 13.8 points and 3.6 rebounds last season with the Santa Cruz Warriors and also participated in the Hawks' Summer League team. Murray Jr., a 6-foot guard and Austell native, spent last season with the Skyhawks, posting averages of 9.0 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds, and also played overseas in Montenegro the previous season. Both players went undrafted in 2023 and will compete for roster spots as the Hawks approach the start of their training camp. These signings bring the Hawks' offseason roster to 20 players, just one short of the 21-man limit. The deals are designed to reward the players for development time with the Skyhawks while keeping them within the Hawks' system.
