Gas Prices Rise Second Week Across Lower Atlantic, New England, Rocky Mountains, Florida

Gas prices in various U.S. regions and states have risen for the second consecutive week, reflecting a nationwide upward trend. In the Lower Atlantic region, the average price reached $2.95 per gallon, about 7.6% lower than the national average of $3.19. Massachusetts and the broader New England region saw prices climb to $3.11 per gallon, roughly 2.6% below the national average, while Florida's prices rose to $3.03 per gallon, 5% lower than the national average. The Rocky Mountain region experienced the highest prices among these areas at $3.24 per gallon, slightly above the national average by 1.5%. Compared to a year ago, current prices in these regions are generally 2-4% lower, though they have increased modestly in recent weeks.
