58-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Detroit Crash Possible Drug Impairment Factor
A 58-year-old man from Redford died early Sunday, Nov. 2, after his motorcycle was struck on the Davison Freeway near Woodrow Wilson Street in Detroit around 1:30–1:40 a.m. He was driving northbound on Woodrow Wilson when he crossed eastbound Davison to make an unauthorized U-turn and was hit by an eastbound SUV driven by a 32-year-old Detroit woman; the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Michigan State Police said drug impairment may have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing and pending medical examiner reports, vehicle inspections and blood results.
