Peak XV MD Harshjit Sethi Resigns Amid Multiple Senior Exits

Harshjit Sethi, Managing Director at Peak XV Partners, has resigned after a decade at the venture capital firm, marking another high-level exit amid a broader leadership churn. Sethi, who led the firm's AI investments and served on the boards of companies like Sarvam AI and BharatPe, announced he would be exploring new opportunities while expressing continued enthusiasm for partnering with early-stage founders. His departure adds to a series of senior exits at Peak XV, including managing directors Shailesh Lakhani, Abheek Anand, and others, reflecting a period of transition following Sequoia Capital's 2023 restructuring into independent entities. Despite these exits, Peak XV is in the process of raising a new fund targeting $1.2 to $1.4 billion, while also adjusting fund size and fees to better align with limited partners amid a tougher fundraising environment. The firm emphasizes that these changes are part of its natural evolution and entrepreneurial culture, even as it expands its international presence with new hires in the US.
