Colts Sign Charvarius Ward to $60 Million Deal

Charvarius Ward, formerly with the San Francisco 49ers, has signed a three-year, $60 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts, including $35 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus. Ward, who had a standout season in 2023 with the 49ers, led the league in pass breakups and earned Pro Bowl honors. The 2024 season was challenging for Ward, both professionally and personally, as he missed games due to injuries and the tragic loss of his daughter. His relocation to Indianapolis is partly motivated by a desire to leave behind traumatic memories associated with his time in California. The Colts have also added safety Cam Bynum, continuing to bolster their defense during the NFL's legal tampering window.
