Arsenal Appoint Heinze, Bolster Squad with New Signings
Arsenal have confirmed the appointment of former Argentina international and ex-Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze as first-team coach, replacing Carlos Cuesta who left for Parma. Heinze, 47, reunites with manager Mikel Arteta, and brings significant playing and coaching experience from European clubs and stints in Argentina and MLS. The club praised Heinze's tactical expertise and international perspective as a strategic addition before a crucial pre-season. Arsenal have also signed Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, and are close to acquiring striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon and midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford. Gyokeres is noted for his prolific scoring, while Norgaard's deal could reach up to £15 million with add-ons. These moves underline Arsenal's ambitions to strengthen both coaching staff and squad as they aim for the Premier League title.
