Charles Angel Salva, a 30-year-old man from Fremont, California, was arrested after allegedly assaulting flight attendants and threatening passengers on a Frontier Airlines flight from Santa Ana to San Francisco. The incident began shortly after takeoff when Salva pulled down an oxygen mask, yelled obscenities, and proclaimed 'We are all going to hell' and 'This airplane is going down.' Salva attempted to choke and kick flight attendants and grabbed at passengers, leading to the flight being diverted to Ontario International Airport. Passengers and crew had to restrain him using a seatbelt after he broke out of flex cuffs. Salva faces federal charges for interfering with flight crew members and could receive up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Salva claimed he was under the influence of ecstasy and feared the passengers were trying to get him to admit to crimes.
