Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends in Glendale Crash

A high-speed police pursuit of a suspected stolen 2000 Dodge Ram in Colorado ended in a head-on collision in Glendale, injuring five people, including the suspect, Michael Guadalupe Freyta. The chase began in Aurora when officers attempted a traffic stop, but Freyta fled, resulting in a minor crash that damaged the vehicle's hood and obstructed his view before the final collision with a Nissan Leaf. Four Nissan Leaf passengers were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, while Freyta also sustained minor injuries and was taken into custody after treatment. Freyta faces multiple felony charges, including vehicular assault, eluding police, motor vehicle theft, and DUI, and has prior arrests for similar offenses. The incident remains under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit and Aurora police.
