Amazon Prime has released first images of Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew in the upcoming drama 'A Very Royal Scandal', set to premiere on September 19. The series, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, dramatizes Prince Andrew's infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, played by Ruth Wilson, where he addressed allegations concerning his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre. The show aims to explore the lead-up, the interview itself, and its aftermath, focusing heavily on Maitlis' perspective. This marks the second dramatization of the interview in 2024, following Netflix's 'Scoop'. The series also features Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, Éanna Hardwicke, and Claire Rushbrook in supporting roles. Directed by Julian Jarrold, the series is part of the anthology that includes 'A Very English Scandal' and 'A Very British Scandal'.
