Music producer Benny Blanco, fiancé to actress-singer Selena Gomez, has revealed he had never watched Gomez's Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place until they started dating, despite knowing she was a child star. He only became familiar with the show when Gomez showed him scenes ahead of the 2024 reboot, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Blanco also admitted he did not know who the Jonas Brothers were until their 2019 hit "Sucker," even though Gomez previously dated Nick Jonas during their Disney Channel years. The couple, engaged since December, have been too busy with work commitments—filming, music production, promotion, and other projects—to plan their wedding but hope to schedule it this summer after taking a break. Blanco expressed a desire to relax with Gomez, enjoying downtime watching shows and cuddling amid their hectic schedules. Additionally, Blanco shared that despite producing hundreds of songs over 16 years, he sometimes uses the Shazam app to recognize his own music, highlighting the intensity of his prolific career.
