Racine Hosts 89th Fourth Fest Parade, Honors Community Contributions

Racine's 89th annual 4th Fest Parade will take place on July 4, 2025, featuring the theme "Roots in Racine" to honor the community's unique history and contributions. The parade, which begins at 9 a.m. following a pre-parade at 8:30 a.m., will follow a 2.6-mile route along Main Street from Goold to 14th Street, with street closures starting at 7 a.m. The Racine Raiders football team serves as the Honorary Grand Marshal, recognized for their athletic achievements and community involvement. Several individuals will be honored, including a posthumous tribute to longtime 4th Fest board member Paul Schacht and the Mark “Mr. Racine” Eickhorst Spirit of Racine Award presented to Jeff Coe for his civic dedication. The parade will feature over 140 units, including emergency vehicles, classic cars, and motorcycles, and will conclude with fireworks and festivities such as live music and a pie contest. The Ervin family continues their tradition of honoring veterans by riding the Spirit of ’76 float, a role Jon Ervin has fulfilled for over 40 years and will now share with his sons.
